Stalbridge Forest Marble Walled Garden and Outdoor Kitchen

Brief: The client requested a walled garden with an outdoor kitchen made from Stalbridge forest marble to compliment his home grown produce.

Materials: Built using Stalbridge Forest Marble, a local stone to Stalbridge, Dorset, and is of the same make-up as Cotswold stone. It is hard oolitic limestone, specially prized for its attractive variety of colour and the strength and thinness of the beds, which make it good to work with. In a polished piece you can see fragments of shell and fossil, compressed over 140m years.
